AN   ORDINANCE   IN  RELATION  TO THE  KEEPING OR HARBORING OF
ANIMALS OR FOWL IN THE TOWN  OF BELLEFONTE

Be it ordained by the Commissioners of Bellefonte:

Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person or firm to allow animals or fowl to run at
large within the Town in such cases where such animals or fowl cause disturbances,
destruction or become nuisances to neighbors, property owners or citizens of the Town.

Section 2. Upon receiving a complaint from any citizen or citizens of the Town, the
Commissioners of Bellefonte shall determine if Section One of this ordinance is being
violated.  In the case of violations, the Secretary shall notify the offending party, in writing,
allowing him fifteen days for compliance.  Non-compliance shall be punishable by a fine
not exceeding $5.00 for each offense and not exceeding the further sum of $1.00 for each
and every day that willful violation shall continue.  Prosecutions shall be before any Justice
of the Peace in Brandywine Hundred or an adjoining Hundred.
