Bellefonte Town Meeting Minutes - September 2009

Call to order @ 7:06 September 14th 2009

Previous meeting Minutes

 

      Motion to Approve August 10^th 2009 Minutes as read and corrected (see attached) by Keith. and seconded by TJ LoVerde was unanimously approved.

 

 

Treasurer/Tax Collectors Report – Curt Nass

      Curt Nass read the receipts and payments for the month of August (See attached).

      TJ LoVerde made a motion to approve Treasurer’s report as read by Curt Nass.  Dan Rosenthal seconded the motion and it was passed unanimously.

 

Plumbing Inspector – Steve Russo

 

      Steve presented 4 check for the following addresses:

      1219 Rosedale             $50 HVAC —he will be paid (50%) for this once he has approved the final work.

      906 Brandywine           $50 HVAC —he will be paid (50%) for this once he has approved the final work.

      815 Rosedale               $50 HVAC —he will be paid (50%) for this once he has approved the final work.

      712 Rosedale               $50 HVAC —he will be paid (50%) for this once he has approved the final work.

      Steve has asked the commission to look into raising the inspection cost to $60 to keep it equivalent to the county.  Keith will look into what he county is doing to make a recommendation at the next meeting.

 

Park Picnic Committee

 

      TJ made a motion to approve the Park Picnic Budget not to exceed $1000 as prepared by Judy Byrne(see attached).  Dan Rosenthal seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.

 

 

Building Inspector – None Present

 

Board of Adjustments

 

      Brian Donovan needs to be sworn in at the next meeting.  The Board of Adjustment is down to 3 members.

      Keith made a motion to approve and pay the bills as read.  Dan seconded the motion and it was approved unanimously.

 

 

Old Business

 

      TJ recapped the working meeting from September 9^th.

·        In attendance for that meeting were Keith Hughes, TJ LoVerde, Elaine Chester, Dave Brenner, and Judy Byrne.

·        We reviewed the park picnic budget and made suggestions about the number of people we thought would attend based upon the last picnic.

·        We accumulated information to include in the Town Newsletter.

      Kathy recorded a new greeting for the town phone system.  Everyone should check their access.

      Mount Pleasant Homecoming is October 24^th.

      Dan Rosenthal will update us on the status of the street sign repairs at the next meeting.

      Elaine is going to order the hardware for banners that have been previously approved.  She is also going to look into Christmas banners.  She will come back at the next meeting with the cost.

 

New Business

 

      Comcast is doing an update to boxes in the community that will reset all of your favorites, parental controls and DVR recordings.  It will allow Comcast subscribers to set DVR recordings online while not at home.  Keith will find out when this will happen.

      The town mail box leaks and needs to be either replaced or a door slot installed.  Elaine will get a cost estimate for this.

      Next working meeting Wednesday October 7^th 7pm.  Next Town meeting on Monday October 12^th at 7pm.
