| MINUTES OF THE MONTHLY WORKING/SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COMMISSIONERS TOWN of BELLEFONTE, Delaware October 26th, 2004 |
The working meeting was called to order at 7:25 pm on Tuesday, October 26. In attendance
were Terry Thompson, Dave Wishowsky, Kathy MacDonough, Scott MacKenzie, Russ
Norris, and guest Rich Mulhern
Topics discussed included:
Taking action on none-attendance and non-reporting from the town's plumbing and building
inspectors
Call from Mr. Simpson about closing the case on 913 Fairview
Kathy reported about a conversation with Mr. Lance our insurance agent about the current
liability insurance policy. We need to have the policy reexamined to see if we have enough
insurance
A discussion was held about shortening the minutes
Ideas for the current newsletter include: monthly meeting report, annual budget report and
graph, building and plumbing permits story, holiday activities schedule
Price for advertising in town newsletter were also discussed and set at $50 a month business
card size, $35 for Bellefonte businesses, and $10 for listing.
Terry gave a report on changing the name of his committee to the Planning Commission and the
need for the committee to be exclusively "planning" and to reassign other responsibilities to the
Planning and Development Committee. This commission needs to be comprised of 5-9
members of the community (volunteers) and authorized to develop a plan for the Commission's
approval.
Kathy and Rich gave a report on ideas for a schedule of activities and events for the holidays in
Bellefonte, called "Yuletide in Bellefonte." Kathy will be seeking authorization for small
expenditures at the next Town Meeting.
