On Monday, June 8, 2026, the Bellefonte Town Commission passed Ordinance 2026-03 — APPROVAL OF FY 2027 TAX RATE, BUDGET and STIPEND SCHEDULE, approving the Town Budget for Fiscal Year 2027, and the Bellefonte Real Estate Tax for FY 2027 — ,08 per $100 valuation — the same rate as last year.
Bellefonte tax bills will be mailed by mid-July and are due by September 30, 2026 to receive a 5% discounted rate, or December 31, 2026 to avoid late charges/interest. (If you have a mortgage, your bill will be sent directly to the mortgage company of record. If a tax bill is sent to you in err, please forward to your mortgage company.)
If you pay your taxes directly to the Town, you must send a check/money order to the address as directed on your tax bill. We do not have a payment portal and cannot receive EFTs, although you can have your bank mail us payment. (If we did have a payment portal, we would have to pay bank fees – and would not be able to offer a 5% discount for early payment.)
